"Change We Can Believe In" is about to become "misery from which we will never escape". Two female RINO Republicans from Maine along with a senile senator from the socialist utopia of Pennsylvania are about to bury us under a mountain of debt. The phone lines to Maine babes are turned off and their mail boxes are full. Don't bother with Senator Specter, he's so old and sick he won't live to see the results of this debacle. Anyway, Pa. voters are like abused spouses, the more you beat them and insult them, the more loyal they become.
That it why Babba is asking for your support to boycott Maine's exports. I'll give up eating lobster and blueberries and Maine potatoes. The only other product that Maine produces is L.L. Bean. I'm willing to sacrifice, I spend about $500 a year at L.L. Bean. It is the one upscale merchant I buy from. I have a $10 coupon for L.L. on my fridge that's going to go to waste. I was going to get a few shirts and maybe a sport coat this Spring; Screw You Maine. Too bad we don't have a Republican leader with enough testosterone to lay an LBJ type handshake on these two dumb broads. The fate of the country now resides in two bubble heads and a sick old man; God Help Us!

That'll learn 'em!
We don't typically think lobster, but suppose I could get blueberries from Chile... Consider L.L. Bean boycotted. (I bought Camy a swimsuit from there last year along with those rubber swim shoes.) Guess what else: L.L. Bean is affiliated with Sears. No more Sears Craftsman stuff?
The only thing I like about "Bean" is their cheap Chinese made shoes. They're comfortable and long lasting. Even though I like the styles I've always balked at the "over priced" clothing.
I think Dot means Lands End. Sears merged with them some time back. Babba you forgot the cranberries. Maine grows tons of them.
We'll just have to join Jeff at the "Good Will Thrift" Shops. They have bargains galore!
Gee, Babba, how do you really feel?
I'm gathering you are from NY based on your blog "shout out to my peeps in NY." I'm disappointed in my senators, but I'll take Collins and Snow over Schumer and Gillibrand all day. You should relocate before you start talking smack about other states.
D -- You're right. So I already don't shopt at L.L. Bean. Not a problem. It was Lands End. Hey, you're good D., you're good. :-)
What a dickhead.
How is hurting the companies' bottom line sticking it the senators?
Are You Even Thinking About The People That Work There?
Who Drive From Towns Far Away Just To Work.
No I Didn't Think So!
Well My Husband Works There And Needs To Keep His Job So We Can Have A Roof Over Our Heads.
When You Pay Him Than Maybe He Will Stop Working.
Another Person Mad.... About People Who Don't Think Before They engage Their Mouths.
Dear yesssss,
You seem to be suffering from Inappropriate Capitalization Disorder. Please step away from the keyboard and pick up a book.
Mrs. Babba
How does your family manage to always attract these kooks?
Mrs. Babba---HAHA HAHAHAHAHA...you're too funny
Hey, Babba, you former citizen of New York, Nevada, Arizona, California, Pennsylvania and MAINE, looks like the natives are restless. What you gonna do for an encore? ;)
You forgot New Mexico, Utah and Florida. If only "Mata Collins" and "Tokyo Snow" didn't disconnect their phones and e-mail this boycott could have been avoided. I got another e-mail from Mr. L.L. Bean; I have one day left on my "$10 dollar off coupon". It takes a lot of willpower for CB to let a coupon expire.
As A true conservative Mainers that voted for our senators, We were truely blindsided and we'll find a way to deal with them later.
As far as our local goods goes, the lobsters and agriculture didn't go far beyond our borders do to the economy. Most of us Maine people can't affort LL bean goods unless it gets returned from out of state buyers and resold at outlets. So do what you have to, WE WILL SURVIVE.
Now you see, that previous post really warms my heart. And here I thought the stampede to socialism had killed the American pioneer spirit.
Rocky might be in the ring taking the punches, but he is far from down.
i want it known that i resisted the call of the lobster at red lobster this weekend.
principle first, indulgence later.
I bought 4 packs of blueberries the other day. I shoulda bought more to offset this boycott.
Great msg to send that Senators can not cavalierly spend our money with impunity. If these Maine Republican Senators hadn't sold out, a better bill would have been drafted. I don't know what's in it for them, but I'm sure it's good and the rest of us will pay for it for the rest of our lives.
Here's some Maine Products/Businesses in addition to LLBean and Maine Lobster:
Poland Springs Water (Springs in Maine offices in Pennsylvania - two birds)
Maine Blueberries
Beach Cliff Sardines
Other Sardine Brands from Maine
(check the label)
Maine Christmas Wreaths
wow what an incredible a**. Maine doesn't struggle enough that you should try to take more away? How about you keep ur under thought ideas to urself and ur own state.
Obviously, you are a die hard Republican. Unfortunately, it's people like you who keep the two party system fighting against each other. Wouldn't it be great if there were no parties and all our elected officials worked together for the good of the people. I don't agree with you, but respect your right to say how you feel. I am hoping that people who read your comments attribute them to a disgruntled Republican and discount your recommendation. How awful it would be to punish Maine merchants for something you feel our U.S. Senators did to offend you. An Die Hard Independent
Its unbelieveable how this is all being blamed on well mostly Maine and its senators. Did anyone ever stop to think what caused them to be in this position to begin with.
George W Bush thats who.President Obama is trying to fix what he messed up in the past 8 years I'm not saying its going to work nobody knows yet. All I'm saying is aleast somebodys trying. The first stimulus package wasnt used for what it was suppose to be used for. All them people who lost there homes and are still losing there homes while the ceos and top bank officals are having partys taking trips buying jets having a grand ole time at the expense of the tax payers.I think it was more like a good bye gift from Bush and the republicans. I think this stimulus package could work as long as the money is spent the way it is suppose to be. I am glad Maine has two senators that are not afraid to do what they think is best for country. I think more states need senators like them As far as boycotting a state I think is childish and imature. Punishing hard working people for something they have no control over. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Does it occur to many that we are already buried in debt and it wasn't necesarily those that are trying to help us now who had put us in this debt? NOBODY more than another got us here. There's a gaping hole in the big picture that maybe none of us are realizing when it comes to our own roles and those of others. We better all pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and start being superb neighbors and stop finger-pointing and placing uncorroborated blame onto each other. The impact of negativity is nothing that is going to get anybody through struggle. Suppressing the hopes, the ideas, the strenghths, the courage, nor any other attribute that has provided all of us with an American Dream, will bring us to perservere, either.
Do you even realize how bad Mainers will be hit when they suddenly lose their income because of your stupidity and sense of entitlement?
Jeez. My step-dad will be broke in a week if you people boycott lobster.
Many of Maine's lobsterman do not have adequate spending capabilities to go to college if they get out of work. They can't just go back to college and go to work and make the same money they made before; Most of them don't even have any job history. I think it's both rude and offensive to play the boycott card against an entire state, seeing as though all you're doing is putting blame on us and 'punishing' us because you're a grumpy little jackass.
Eat your lobster and blueberries and shut up.
Seriously.
Thanks for boycotting my state! I hope you feel better about blaming two stupid women who happen to be our senators (who a lot of people here do not agree with most of the time, one of who has the worst speech impediment) which is basically a waste of time, all the while attempting to make life here more miserable than it already is!
Thank you for attempting to put hard-working fisherman in an already failing industry out of work. We really appreciate your commentary. LL Bean sucks anyway, and most of its revenue is not in this state. How about you stop blaming other people from behind a computer screen , grow a pair, and do something more productive to stop this stupid liberal administration. If your so pissed off at Maine, why don't you come here and stand in the middle of the street and shout it out in public. I think that would be more practical.
Hey while you're boycotting Lobsters(thanks for making them cheap enough for me to have some) don't forget your PDA/Cellphone/computerchips/and everything else you enjoy with a chip in it. One of the two bigest making of all things computer related have plants in Maine. Enjoy living in the wilderness while the rest of us work our butts off to fix the last President and his group messed up
I guess just be a good republican & shop at Walmart since they support communist China and its forced abortion policy.
Wow! A lot of people eat lobster!
I'd boycott it if I ate it. I always thought of it as rich folk food. Can I boycott Stephen King books instead?
All you working stiffs in Maine carping about how you will be out of work, welcome to our world in fly over country, the great midwest. There's no jobs in my region, steel mills, coal mines, Maytag closing. I'd like to have empathy but I'm too wrapped up in our own problems of ekking out a living.
When your senators learn to respect ALL Americans regardless of sexual orientation, would one of you please send us some lobster?
lands end is affiliated with sears. dumbfuck
asshole. i hope you choke on a bottle cap
Your attitude is that of a bully. If you succeed in this little project, not only will you hurt a single person of ten on the board of a American company, but you will effect all of their staff in a very negative way.
You are fully entitled to have your opinion, but to advocate and insist on bullying online, which will lead to people losing jobs they have had for year is disgusting.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
