Living in the Promised Land

Garden Condominium $163,000
Black Forest Restaurant

Basset Fauve de Bretagne'

Seeing that I completely blew off Valentines Day I had to go all out for Carol's Birthday. I got her Vol#3 of the Columbo series. Carol never heard of Columbo till she met me 25 years ago. Now she is a Columbo-aholic. A quick trip through the CVS drive up for a card and then out to a four star restaurant. I went all out and took her to a German Restaurant called the Black Forest. It was great food.

Speaking of tremendous stars. Carol has gotten 2 callbacks after her speed-dating unified auditions. Carol has an agent and has a call back to audition for a commercial for a realtor. Looks like we have the next American Idol. Remember "you knew her when". I knew that even with forgetting the words to her song that phone would start ringing within a week.

We put a down payment on our garden home condo. Now I'm looking for a dog I like that weighs less than 40lbs. We should move at the end of May. I think I'll look for a Basset Fauve de Bretagne'. It is usually about 35lbs. so as long as I don't fatten her up I should be OK. I think the association has a sidewalk square that is really a scale. If a dog steps on the the square and weighs over 40 lbs. it takes its picture and sounds an alarm.

Check out Babba doing a "What I'm" list! Yay!

Cute dog!!!! But it doesn't look like a "Gunther." Will you consider a different name?

Babba, first of all, since Marianne's okay with it, I'm okay with it, but your "What I'm" list would have fit perfectly on her last post as a comment which she loves!! Now instead, you've stolen 2 comments -- one from her and one from me!

Also, (I see a pattern here) you spoke of Carol's agent on A on a B -- I was assuming it was you, now I'm not so sure -- I read "A on a B", Mary's "Happy Birthday Carol Post," asking in comment #3, how Carol's birthday was, *not knowing* that you devoted one whole post to the occasion and with pics no less.

What a lucky lady! Perhaps since it is the weekend, you two can continue celebrating -- who knows what we will see posted there!!

Althoughh in the past, Babba has been prone to hyperbole, the truth is Carol has a REAL agent who gets 10% of what she earns. Now I would prefer to keep that 10% in the family but after 25 years I still can't manage to pick out the correct song for her to sing at church on Sunday morning. I'm just the financial backer. I'm Norman Maines; surfs up!

Ah...Now it is perfectly clear :-)

Only my mother can proclaim that has bombed her audition and then get two agents within a week. Only my mom. That's why she's awesome.

Hey, Babba, a dog that I can actually look at in the eye and not be hiding behind a door? That's nice. M-
